Hullo, friends!

Been a while since we spoke, hasn’t it? Feels like a lifetime of events squeezed into a few months. To tell you the whole story would take another lifetime—and honestly, neither do I have the patience, nor do you have the time (or do you? 👀). Long story short: the writer has taken a 6-month career break starting July, to tend to family, health, and some personal explorations.

Aaj uske baarein mein baat ni karenge. Toh kya baat karenge? Something I’ve been reflecting on lately: The 3 Vitals. Now, there are obviously needs/vitals which Mr. Maslow has already done a brilliant job explaining.(Accha nai pata? ye padho. Uncle ne jabardast dissect kari hai chizein). But the vitals I’m writing about kick in after the basics are covered. They’re about how we live, not just how we survive. (Heavily inspired by Dan Millman’s The Way of the Peaceful Warrior).

  1. Acceptance of Paradox Most of our life is mystery. Mast aisa like a math problem we try to figure out to nth level. But we end up seriously underestimating the brilliance (& complexity) of universe. We waste energy chasing neat answers, but life runs on paradox—like fire: it destroys, yet also warms, cooks, and gives light. Strength in surrender and freedom in discipline (& many more examples that chatgpt suggested me, but you get the drift :D)

Fighting this truth breeds frustration; accepting it gifts peace.

  1. Armour of Humour See many things have, and will go wrong. Fact hai. Hai na? Some big ones catastrophically, some chotu ones comically. Life ke gaadi mein, with such highs and lows - we need a terrific suspension system. Humour is that suspension :D

With this armour though, a breakup isn’t “end of the world”—it’s just a wild story you’ll tell over chai. Loss of “an” airpod? Terrible tragedy, amazing comedy (true story)

  1. Adaptability to Change ”Annichya” (Pali word for Impermanence) Our brains crave stability and straight lines, but much of life if not most of it runs on curves and detours. Nothing stays the same. Our world is ever evolving, ever changing man. Including us. When we cling to stability, we suffer. And most of our pain isn’t from change itself—it’s from our resistance to it.

Having the humility, acceptance and adaptability of change liberates from the extreme reactions we gift ourselves.

So aaj ke liye bass itna hi. Baaki is premium version only unlocked if you reply or meet up :P We should speak about Vipasanna sometime too (honestly been writing about it, but do not think it did justice to the experience)

Why do I write these waise? Not to preach. Not to “teach” yar sahi mein. Honestly, the intent is super selfish: I write so my current self is freed from a pressing present and my future self has a reminder. Because we all forget. And my god do I forget like a pro (exhibit A S01 Day 11 : I forget. a lot., exhibit B Article 1 : Talent(s) )

See ya!
