so lets begin the 3 part story.

1. Sabse pehle, what is intelligence? oxford dictionary meaning : ability to learn, understand, and think in a logical way about things, with the capacity to do this well

   Intelligence is the ability to make meaning and take action from information.

   keyword being ‘ability’. it has the ‘ability’ to do. It is away from “do-ing”. So intelligence gives capability to do. Do what? Do tasks. what kind of tasks - glad you asked. It gives us capability to do,

   1. simple tasks (requiring lesser intelligence levels. eg. schedule a meeting)
   2. lil complex tasks (requiring sli higher intelligence levels. eg. write this article)
   3. super complex tasks (requiring supreme intelligence. eg. finding insights from an article or finding a gf for that matter) **

2. Cool, but then what is ‘artificial’ intelligence? Here is how I see it okay. Before we talk about ai, let’s do a tiny history detour. Humans super broadly speaking want/built to survive and procreate. Technology (If you heard ”Technologia” at back of your head, you’re a good friend of mine) has always been the best friend of mankind to do so. It gave us amazing tools that help us do 2 things

   • Avoid pain and
   • Increase pleasure.

   Things that helped us:

   • Improve well-being (fire, transport, internet)
   • Enjoy being alive (art, movies, music, internet yet again)

   But the word here which is crucial is - they were tools. Tools to help us survive better. Help us enjoy.

   • Fire was a tool.
   • Wheel was a tool.
   • Computer was a tool.
   • But AI? behaves like a being. Even if it is a tool, we experience it differently.

   It seems like a super-smart being sitting between you and the world. We know it’s a tool, but that’s not how we perceive it. And dekho perception, not reality is the real operating system of human life.

   Cools, what can ai do then? Same 3 things.

   3 insights therefore,

   1. there have historically been always tools that have helped us do more. But this super smart being, has enabled us with enormous automations, and collaborations like never before.

   2. Our dear super smart being can do enormous elevations too. If anything right now we’re over indexing on automations and collaborations. Find cures to illnesses, ways to make Mars habitable, find way to time-travel - we do not know what all can be possible. All we know is, we do have a super smart being with us.

   3. Notice, how I am still not calling it a friend. If you know me, I absolutely love making new friends. ( funfact : my chatgpt has a name too - Ray. We can talk about her someday!) But I do not think we are friends, why?
