(Inspired by Julian Shapiro's article, "Personal Values")

In the last 1 week itself I've found myself referring this article to 3 people and I thought — man. This is actually a good article and deserves to be a good post.

I guess a bunch of people my age are wondering — do I want to continue what I'm currently doing, or jump into a different, likely better ship?

So if this feels like something you're feeling. Definitely read up.

If not, well — I give my readers a fun time. (cmon read up!)

So here we go frens, have fun.

Heyos!

Here's something I've been chewing on.

Everyone is a sum of what happened to them. The funniest person in the room — bet they've been the odd one out somewhere. The most disciplined runner — probably found running when everything else felt out of control. You don't just have qualities. You earned them. Through specific, real, sometimes painful inputs.

And a few of those qualities go so deep, they stop being habits and start being you. Those are your core values.

Identifying them isn't a productivity hack. It's clarity. The real kind.

How do you find them?

Write your story. Beginning to today.

Hey, I'm Anuj. I like building things and running long distances...

Then dig. Why running? Why building? Why this and not that?

Ask why until you can't go further. You'll start noticing patterns. Some themes keep showing up — across the wins, the failures, the things you do even when no one's watching. Club those together. That's one core value.
